Lambda Chi Sigma (LCS) Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was chartered on Saturday, September 7, 2013, by 25 LEADING ladies who were seeking to create a positive and progressive graduate chapter in Alsip, Illinois, and the surrounding south suburban area. Our first addition to our LCS family was the establishment of the Rhoer Club on Sunday, January 19, 2014, with the induction of three young ladies. The next milestone was the induction of LCS' first membership class made up of four dynamic women, inducted into the sisterhood on December 6, 2014. Our Philo affiliates were chartered on Saturday, March 25, 2017, with the induction of five phenomenal women. The Rhosebud Club began as an official LCS affiliate in October 2017 with seven little ladies. We continued to grow and build our LCS family by bringing in dynamic women and young ladies seeking to be effective leaders through our chapter and affiliates.

LCS is comprised of resolute women with various professional backgrounds who are committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of those we meet and addressing concerns that will impact the community on educational, civic, and economic levels. We aim to illustrate public service at its highest level within the community by providing positive and initiative-taking programming that will be effective in our service community. LCS also seeks to create an atmosphere of true sisterhood and provide a means for social activity - all while managing the business of Sigma. LCS is constantly evolving and is committed to being a formidable force of change and upholds the standards set forth by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. We are the LEADING ladies of Lambda Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter, and we are amplifying GREATER.
